This means words often have multiple meanings determined by context. Day - yom is commonly rendered as day in English translations, but the word yom can be used in different ways to refer to different time spans thus literally is: Sunrise to sunset Sunset to next sunset Time period of unspecified length. The labels beg the question with a presupposition. There is no evidence at all that a biblical "global flood" ever happened, and plenty that it did not. My closest bit of evidence is Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park in northeast Nebraska. Fossil remains from 12 million years ago show no signs of ever having been disturbed by a great flood. If the world is 6000 years old, and a giant flood happened even more recently than that, one would expect to find some mention of this event in the records left by one of the several literate societies in existence on earth within the last few millennia. Not a peep! Answer: there was no global flood caused by plate tectonics or anything else.

They somehow believe creationists don't believe in natural selection, adaptation, and speciation, but when creationists make their position clear, it somehow circles back to darwinism. What do flat-earthers say NASA's motive would be for conspiring to convince everyone that the earth is spherical? I absolutely don't believe the moon landing was faked, but I can see why NASA would have a motive to fake it if they couldn't really land on the moon. I can think of motives for every conspiracy theory I've ever heard except this one. Why would anyone go to the trouble to lie about the earth's shape?
